Agenda 21 Creates Control Points

The goal of environmentalism is to create chokepoints and shortages. A scarcity of resources and infrastructure creates choke points from which the few can control the many.

The political Left likes to refer to the U.N.'s Agenda 21 as "Sustainable Development". It sounds good, right? Who wants "Unsustainable Development"?

Like all socialist ideas, it gives tremendous power to a few professors and other "expert" social engineers to tell you where you can live, where you can drive, and how many children you should have. Does this sound like communism yet?

Actually, communism looks great on paper. A few intellectuals (think Mommy Professor) will plan our lives for us and we will live in a worker's paradise. The only problem is that it doesn't work and they ended up with guards at the borders trying to keep these gleeful workers IN, while a then free America had to guard her borders to keep foreigners OUT!

The enlightened intellectuals turn into tyrants and the centrally planned society becomes a tyranny. Communism and socialism don't work because no matter how many degrees a fellow graduates with, he is still a human being. All humans are imperfect and prone to justifying atrocities in the name of making a perfect world.

Communism/socialism does not work because centrally controlled utopias don't work.

We can do a better job of keeping our land clean and beautiful, but we will do it by taking personal initiative as landowners.  We will lead by example and inspire our neighbors.

As usual, the political left does not trust the people. These "enlightened" few want to modify our most fundamental behavior (what we eat, where we live and how many children we have), through coercion and legislation.

In my grandfather's time, many professors were openly communist. When the Berlin Wall fell, all the American communists became environmentalists overnight! Why? It's simple: both communism and environmentalism dictate that professors plan our lives for us.
