SOPA and PIPA

Stop SOPA and PIPA: On January 18, 2012, the Boone County Tea Party web site joined with Wikipedia and many other web sites in a virtual strike to bring awareness to two congressional bills which will drastically alter the Internet as we know it.  The Stop Online Piracy Act in the US House of Representatives and the Protect IP Act in the US Senate will NOT solve the problem of online piracy.  Rather, they will stifle entrepreneurs, greatly disrupt search engines and social networks, and allow the Federal government to immediately shut down any web site based on the mere allegation of infringement.  Learn more about this from the following:

Contact Congressman Steve Womack's office at 870-741-6900 (Harrison) or 202-225-4301 (Washington, DC) and ask that he votes NO on SOPA.

Contact Senators Mark Pryor and John Boozman and ask that they vote NO on PIPA.
